This place is Awesome!!!! I went in looking for a hinge, and came out with the hinge. a small pink LED flashlight for my daughter, and the Bronski Beat in my head. Where else will you hear Small Town Boy in a hardware store!!! They staff was fantastic, and so were my fellow shoppers. I am never going anywhere else.
SIMPLY THE BEST OF ALL! Ace Hardware's staff is awesome! Once while at the cashier's, I commented on how I wish they would not have all these "specials" right by the register because I invariably buy something that doesn't work out for me. She asks what did not work out and I replied, "about a year ago I bought a LED flashlight for 7-8 dollars and, after a couple of months, it worked intermittently." She said to bring it back to which I replied that I could not because I don't have my receipt anymore. She told me no problem. So, next time in there, I traded my cheapie LED for a nice LED flashlight AND they gave me full credit for my old flashlight simply based on how much I told them I had paid for it!!!! Last month, after shortcutting Ace (never again) and trying to do business at Paul's Hardware in Scottsdale (please see my review "Boycott Paul's!) only to go back to Ace and have them clean up Paul's Mistakes, I realized just how green the grass is at Ace Hardware. Shame on me-my only experience at Paul's Hardware in Scottsdale I couldn't wait to write a nasty review. At least once a month for over two years I buy something at Ace Hardware and have always been impressed with the employee's eager willingness assist me but have I made that quality and sincerity public....Shame, shame on me. So now I am sharing with you THE ABSOLUTE BEST EVER HARDWARE STORE to buy from, where you will never have a complaint unless you go elsewhere...and even then Ace will correct it for you as they did for me. Now you may ask just what are my credentials should you decide to accept my much higher than a "5" rating. You may read my profile and ask yourself, " can I put any merit in a review from a freak?" And I reply, "my Dad managed Ben Franklin and T.G. & Y retail stores all of his fifty years of work life so I grew up knowing retail; I have worked in retail sales for approx. thirty years in either management or as a producer consistently performing in the upper 10% . While I have never been the highest gross profit salesperson, many times I have been at the highest end on volume production, and always...I repeat ALWAYS...I have been #1 or #2 in client satisfaction. Need I add that I have done this while never being in drag? Even though I think I do drag well...well enough for me anyhow.
I've have Pat work on the machines in my office. He is very pleasant, punctual and tells me the TRUTH on what is going on with the machine. I recommend him if you want honest answers and reasonable ... Buzzed for: The Computer Guy
