I had one of the worst customer service experience with Al's Tree Service.  I was displeased with the scope and thoroughness of their work that I was finally connected to the owner's son, Jeremiah, who could be described as a brat.  He was condescending and insulting.  I look forward to watching him run the company straight into the ground.  As an owner of multiple properties (commercial and residential), I have been told that the company has not been the same since the kid took over.  Supposedly Al is a great man with a great reputation, but must advise to STAY AWAY!

I e-mailed Al's for an estimate on Monday, and heard nothing back. So I was about to look for another tree trimming service when someone from Al's just showed up at my house on Wednesday to check out what it was I said I needed done. Robert turned out to be a nice guy, but I sure would have appreciated a call or an e-mail letting me know that they even received my request and that someone would be coming over and looking around in my yard. They gave me an acceptable quote and booked the job for the next day. They came within the estimated time frame, and when I returned home from my meeting, they were finished.

A few quibbles with the finished job: one small dry frond was left hanging on our date palm, there were some small branches left behind, and the large eucalyptus which had a sizable branch removed did not appear to have that spot treated, which concerned my husband (but Yelper Matthew K. told me this is not necessary).

They seem to have trimmed the palms well- maybe I would recommend being there, however, to make sure the clean-up is to your satisfaction.
