Everyone complains about not being able to reach a live person when they call in for customer service. People love the human touch of having their favorite businesses call them to let them know when something is on sale. Funny how when they're calling for something you want it's "personal touch" but when they're selling something you don't it's a public annoyance that needs to be stopped... but anyway...
Every human voice that does business over the phone falls into "teleservices", even if they don't want to believe it. But the ATA is here to teach every company that uses the phones to reach or represent companies what their laws, obligations and opportunities truly are. They will also stand up to Washington when they are trying to over regulate the industry through legislation that drives many more jobs away from rural cities and takes them overseas. (I think I just got political, you'll have to excuse me, but this group gets me all fired up.)
Of all the mixer, shaker and networking conferences I've been forced to endure - this group makes ones that I enjoy, were educational, and I've actually referred to others. While I've moved on to a new field, and am continually reminded of how bad these things can be for other groups, this organization continues to maintain their high standards. If you, or anyone in your business ever calls your customers - you might want to call these folks.
