About Linkedin
Linkedin's mission is to help you be more effective in your daily work and open doors to opportunities using the professional relationships you already have. This isn’t networking—it’s what networking should be. Forget exchanging business cards with acquaintances that don’t know your work, or trying to renew professional ties when you need a favor.

Linkedin finally is doing what they should have done long ago, but better late than never.

Linkedin Rocks ...if you’re not LinkedIn, imho, you’re clueless, as every business person I chat with is on there. Or do business with, etc. It’s (for me) like a virtual rolodex, and you can learn a lot about potential deals, or potential opportunities.

BTW, if you’re a Yahoo Alumni, like me, join the Yahoo Alumni group on LinkedIn

Maybe that’s why they had to scale it back, b/c so many Yahoo’s like me jumped ship & joined that group, thus causing server overload?

More like LinkedOut instead of LinkedIn. the design has improved a lot but so has nonesense. the fall in traffic clearly shows people are not willing to take the bull.

look at their traffic numbers and map it and you'll see the growth is no longer there. either they have reached every professional or the real professional no longer see a value to be had.

i have gone from everyday to once a month to never status and i'm sure same holds true for many others. Well done LinkedOut.

Linkedin is gone to no returnzone and its getting really wack. i like the controle to remain in my own hands and when someone trys to think otherwise i get pissed. they are trying to tell me they are more powerful than the average joe and that is bull. i guess they are going down fast.

some times when a company trys to take the power into their own hands they don't really get that but lose it all to a well placed competitor and this is what linkedin is doing. As a founder of a group with 700 members linkein group feature is horrible, this really does it. How do you not have a discussion forum?! Why wouldnt you want a place for defined people to congregate?! I dont know, how about to sell ad space? Disappointing.

Well, I’m glad they are at least dealing with the spam issue (as that caused me to leave LinkedIN recently).

But their latest blunder does not exactly encourage me to return either.

It really is scary that LinkedIn still can’t get “Groups” right. This feature has TONS of potential, yet years go by with nothing.

Linkedin has definitely taken ‘power’ from the people, in the worst possible way… ever since their latest update I found it to be a nightmare to manage my group. The system says I have x applications pending but when I go to approve them I find nothing. However, when I do find applications, they seem to be forever stuck in the approval bin and won’t disappear once member is approved. No reply to support tickets.
