On Saturday, we played in the St. Paddy's Day parade for Charleston. It meant rising at 4, leaving by 5, meeting up with the band, the carpooling to Charleston.
It was worth every minute of it. It was a superb parade and the enjoyment of all made the gray day ccme alive.
After that, we sent to Finn McCools in Myrtle Beach and set up a roar from the crowd when the bass drum was carried in. The crowd was enthusiastic and the day was warming up. The crowd enjoyed music, especially the solo by Peter the Piper (yes, that's his name) and they clapped themselves into a frenzy -- the faster he played, the faster they clapped. We went inside and played for the celebrants inside. Very cool. Very Finn McCools.
Last three gigs were for Murphy's Law -- all three of them. Our brains were turning to mush, not from drinking but from playing so many tunes all day long. The last set was not our best but by then it ten at night and we'd been at it all day. Still, it was enjoyed and we were pleased to bring Myrtle Beach Pipeband into the St. Patrick's Day celebrations
We have played for Myrtle Beach Christmas and St. Patrick Day parades, street parades up and down the coast, House of Blues, and at private events such as weddings, graduations, and memorials.
If you would like us to play for you, please call us at 843-839-7303. We are a non-profit group devoted to celebrating the Scottish heritage of the Carolinas.
This is a bagpipe band -- we play bagpipe music and none of the comments previously posted are related to us. As one can read, they are related to someone who sells something. We play music throughout the Myrtle Beach Region -- from Charleston to Surfside,SC to Supply, NC. We are a non-profit cultural organization that provides musical entertainment in recognition of the Scottish heritage of the area.
If anyone would like to book the band, please call us at 843-839-7303.
