About Mesa Systems Inc
Mesa Moving & Storage Co. (the predecessor of Mesa Systems Inc.) started operations in Grand Junction, Colorado in early 1981. The company was the brainchild of James J. Saad, President and Founder of Mesa Moving & Storage, who in the late 1970's identified the opportunities the oil shale boom of Western Colorado would bring to the relocation industry.
The Mesa companies have exclusively represented the nation's largest and most recognized Relocation/Logistics Company, United Van lines, for over 20 years. Mesa continues to play a pivotal role in shaping and directing the efforts of the UniGroup Companies (United Van Lines parent company) on a daily basis.
Mesa grew rapidly in the early 1980's, serving many of the nation's top construction and oil producing organizations, which were exploring the oil shale opportunities of Western Colorado. The "bust" of the oil shale industry prompted Mesa to look for other opportunities for growth. In May 1985, Mesa opened its second full service facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.
